Dr Nada

Is a professor of political science at the Arab open university, Kuwait and a GCC, (gulf cooperation council) specialist , researcher at the Center of Strategic and Future studies at Kuwait University. Dr Nada has a PhD from the American university. London,
An active member of the institute of Arab and Islamic Studies of Exeter University;

Currently writing a book about the Gee countries and a paper under research about Foreign Aid and development.

Series of academic presentations in various summits and conferences.
An invited speaker at Istanbul summit, (Turkey)2006 "the world movement for democracy", and an invited speaker at Rabat (Morocco) 2005, and Yemen, in "Building Democracy for Peace, Development and Human rights ".

Recently (December2006) a key speaker at the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE Of NATO AND THE GULF COUNTRIES, summit in Kuwait.

Since Kuwaiti women gained their political rights 2005 Dr. Nada Al Mutawa has been actively involved and therefore often interviewed on television and radio. (CNN, AL HURRA, MBC ALARABIA I KUWAIT TV, OMAN TV , RAI ITALIAN TV, RAI KTV, DUBAI TV. ABUDHABI TV,)

- Received two award certificates, one for a thesis published in
Kuwait news papers "Kuwaiti university students and political behaviour"
- Award of the best researcher December 2003
- Participated in researches about the role of non government
organizations in Kuwait, 1994.
- Edited a book for Kuwait university students titled how to use the Internet, specialized political science sites.
- Initiated the political science homepage , Kuwait university 1998 - 9.
- Participated in a research about Kuwait's national assembly for the political science dpt. Kuwait 2000.
- Attended seminars about Foreign Policy.
- Frequently analyses issues related to "the greater middle east" ,
“The role of the United Nations in post war Iraq" and other topics in Kuwaiti newspapers.
- Previously published a book "how to do a research" in Arabic, as a guide to students in Kuwait university.
- Exploring with the students the topic "the United Nations action
against terrorism" using the information gathered from polls done
previously among students about their reaction to different issues.

Participations

Meetings with members of the European parliament, Emma
Bonnino (Italy) who visited Kuwait in March 2004, discussing various issues concerning the religion. Enc. our discussion is published in all Siyassa newspapers, Kuwait.

Attended closed seminar about effectiveness of economic sanctions on Iraq, 1999. guest speaker was the Kuwaiti minister of foreign affairs. Organized by the center of strategic studies.

Attended The Gulf Region and Future Symposium organized by the National Assembly Of Kuwait.15-17 May 2004. Topics discussed:Gulf-West and the Future, Iran and Iraq

Democracy in Kuwait, a seminar organized by the faculty of economics and politics.
Was the main speaker on behalf of Kuwait university in the E-government conference held by Kuwait Institute of scientific and research.
Currently hosting a number of seminars at the center of strategic and future studies.
